Professor Costas Markides
Constantinos Markides is Professor of Strategic and International Management and Chairman of the Strategy Department at the London Business School. He is also non-executive Director of Amathus (UK) Ltd, and a Fellow of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Areas of Specialisation
Strategy and innovation. His most recent book, ‘Fast Second’, examines how big, established companies can create radical new markets. He is currently working on the topic of strategic innovation – how companies can break the rules in their existing businesses.

Achievements and Publications
Professor Markides received his MBA and DBA from the Harvard Business School. He has worked as an associate at the Cyprus Development Bank and as a Research Associate at the Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society and the Cyprus Economic Society.
His publications have appeared in journals such as the Harvard Business Review, Directors & Boards, British Journal of Management, Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, and the Academy of Management Journal.
