Professor Yasar Jarrar
Performance Management and Improvement in the Private & Public Sectors
Yasar Jarrar is currently the Executive Dean of Dubai School of Government which has been recently established in Dubai as a regional institute for government studies and research in cooperation with Harvard University’s John F Kennedy’s School of Government. Before that, Yasar worked as the Director of the Government Performance Directorate in the Prime Ministry of Jordan and Head of Policy and Strategy for Dubai Government at the Executive Office.
Yasar is currently a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Business Performance, Cranfield School of Management, UK, and an Honorary Visiting Fellow in Total Quality Management at the European Center for Total Quality Management, University of Bradford, UK and a Visiting Professor, Universita Degli Studi Della Basilicata, Facolta Di Ingegneria, Potenza, Italy.
Yasar is also a Senior Advisor with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Adam Smith Institute working on Public Sector Reform with the Governments of Jordan, Libya, UAE and Palestine.
Research interest and expertise cover areas of Performance Management and Improvement in the private and public sectors. Yasar has authored numerous reports and papers and has been an invited speaker in various national and international events along with delivering executive education to leading international organizations (including DHL, Emirates Airlines, Saudi Aramco, Bank of Scotland, and Arla Foods) and regional governments in the MENA region.
