Lynette Eastman is a Human Resources director with a proven ability to define and lead the talent and Organisational Development agenda in response to the immediate and strategic needs of the organisation across a range of sectors including Financial Services, Energy, Technology and Pharmaceuticals with FTSE 100 organisations.
Lynette is skilled and adept at leading the people dimensions of talent management, change, learning and skill development and resourcing. She has a successful track record, including secondments to USA and Hong Kong, as a Commercial HR Business Partner with a strong global capability, excellent stakeholder management and the influencing skills required to establish working relationships at board and executive level.
Prior to becoming an independent practitioner as well as working as an associate with TLP, Lynette was Head of HR for the global finance division at HSBC. Her role was to develop and lead the People Strategy to support a $1 billion transformation of the Global Finance function. She also managed a budget of $30M, led a global team of 13, 7 direct reports and 6 matrixed reports. She is currently working at Telefonica O2 as HR Director, Ireland; she is supporting a significant business and HR Transformation agenda.
Before working at HSBC, Lynette was Group Head Resourcing of BP, Director for Talent and Resourcing for Cable and Wireless and previously had held positions as Technology and Operations Director and HR director within Standard Charter.
During her 30 year career Lynette has worked on an extensive range of projects. The ones that she is most proud of are as follows: Led the design and delivery of the first Business Academy within HSBC to support the leadership and technical development of a global function of circa 8,000 employees, track record for recruiting talent, 30% has been poached into other roles in HSBC, led a leadership assessment programme of 200 Finance leaders to develop the Finance talent pool, built a client’s first high performing global HR team to support a global function, developed and launched a global mobility programme to identify emerging talent, led the design and delivery of a job family structure to support career and learning path development and enable more effective workforce planning, achieved pensions Regulator’s trustee accreditation, in record time and led the OD work stream to establish a knowledge centre for finance professionals in New Delhi.
