Training Development

Ignatius Lee has worked extensively with senior managers and has a great deal of experience in delivering training development programmes since 2001.

He works as a consultant to build cohesive teams, improve coaching skills and enhance management styles. He works with a wide range of clients including World Vision, Salvation Army, the Department of Education, and Baptist University. On the commercial front, his clientele includes Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, New York Life, Canon (HK) Ltd., and Sun Hung Kai Properties.

Ignatius has assisted clients with embracing change, improving presentation skills to award winning levels and enhancing business performance through influencing skills and negotiation techniques. For Accordence, Mr. Lee provides negotiation training to executives, leaders, sales teams, and account managers.

Ignatius previously worked for HSBC for more than twelve years, first as an Executive in the Training Department and then as Manager of Training. He was responsible for directing, managing and developing over 130 trainers and supporting staff in meeting the training demands for the HSBC operations in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines. He was responsible for two Training Centres with over 2,100 trainees per month.

In addition to his roles in the Training Department at HSBC, Mr. Lee worked directly for the Executive Director as Manager of Quality Management, orchestrating major quality programmes and organising various company-wide programmes for quality management and inter-departmental collaboration.

Mr. Lee also worked in the Human Resources Department. He was responsible for the development centres and review of the various career progression schemes for junior staff, the banker’s development programme for executives, and the appraisal processes for the entire HSBC operation in Hong Kong and China. He was also required to oversee the HR policy unit, the employee communication team, and the audio/visual unit.

In addition to his broad HR background, Ignatius has hands-on experience in designing and delivering training programmes and courses for all levels of staff. His fluency in Mandarin, Shanghainese, Cantonese and English allows him to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds. Mr. Lee is a motivational speaker with cross-cultural sensitivity.
